Jamal Strong was born on August 5th, 1978. He was first drafted on September 2nd, 2003 for the Seattle Mariners and stayed with the same team as an outfielder until his final game on September 11th, 2005. Strong's career was abruptly ended because of the numerous injuries he has acquired.
Fans of Jamal Strong are still hoping that he will be able to recover and return to playing in major league baseball. During his two-year stint with the Mariners, he was able to achieve a batting average of 0.277, which is significantly impressive. Since he has achieved this record within a short period of time, fans are expecting a lot more from him if he is able to make a comeback in the baseball scene.
Stan Bahnsen is another homegrown player from the Lincoln Cornhuskers that has made it in the major league baseball tournaments. Bahnsen was born on December 15th, 1944.
