I can only think of one and that is Wakefield. Are there others? I love watching knuckleball pitchers because almost every pitch they throw is unpredictable. It is so fun to watch. It is almost like a science. A very inexact science. And that is what makes it so exciting. I wish there were more knuckleball pitchers.

For example, the runner could be halfway to first base, the ball gets to the first baseman and he's still called safe or the runner could reach the base 5 seconds before the ball and he'd still be called out. Why?

There is 9 pitcher positions.

It's never happened since stats have been recorded. However back in the old days of baseball it's possible someone could have played 6 or 7 positions in one game. It's unlikely anyone ever played every position because there would be a shortage of roster spots. But there are 4 guys who played every position in a SEASON: Cesar Tovar, Bert Campaneris, Scott Shelden, Shane Halter. Campaneris did it last and that was back in 1965.

Why is it that if there is a tie in baseball, the game could go on forever with more overtimes? Why cant they have it end quick like a homerun derby or something?

In my opinion, the cycle is one of the hardest things to accomplish in MLB. I wonder how many times it has actually been accomplished by one player and if anyone of those players has accomplished this feat more than once.

Following their game one defeat at the hands of the Phillies, the New York Yankees and their fans are starting to panic. It is believed that the Yankees will use any means necessary to win game two, even if it means elevating Joba Chamberlain's pitchcount to as many as five pitches.
