Players arent like they used to be. I think in today’s game, anyone can be bought. Look at Johhny Damon. Thats a traitor, and I dont like the Red Sox or the Yankees.

I think Jeter, Rivera and Posada are obvious choices to never leave the Yankees for the Red Sox. As far as my favorite team, I really couldn’t think of a player that would never play for the enemy. The Royals don’t really have any enemies at this point.

I think that they all would play for the ENemy for the right price, if Jeter’s contract is up and the Yankees think his time is past him and the Red Sox offer him two more years and a ridiculous amount of money then you will have to travel to Fenway to see him most of the time. This is not just a game for them it is a Business and they are all in business to make as much money as possible ove the life of their “short” career. As much as I would like to believe that their is loyalty in this world I also realize that you can only be loyal to yourself and your interests…because no one else is ever truely loyal to you.

I agree with you that Derek Jeter will never play for those Sox. In fact he will never play anywhere else but NYY. He will retire a Yankee and get his number retired as well as Jorge posada and Mariano Rivera.

Jeter is not exempt from free agency, he will chase the money just like Damon and all others. Only a Yankee fan considers the BoSox as the enemy, where everyone else considers the Yanks as the enemy. Yankees and Darth Steinbrenner are known as the Evil Empire for good reasons. Everybody in the MLB hates them!
