Well everyone already said it Joe Dimaggio. But I think the person who wrote Cal Ripken Jr. was thinking of just most consecutive games played, so in a sense they weren’t that far off, they just misunderstood the question.
I agree though, that record is going to stick for awhile.
Joe DiMaggio, with 56. Truly one of the only records in baseball that has the best chance of not being broken anytime in the near future.
