Ichiru Suzuki. At the plate, on the bases, or in the field, you can’t take your eyes off of him.
The very upbeat Jose Reyes.
Jose Reyes, he can steal, he can make great plays, he can make clutch hits, or hit home runs. He’s a very exciting guy to watch.
Last year, in Detroit at least, Joel Zumaya filled that role. His fastballs haven’t picked up back up in the one appearance he’s made, but I’m sure he’ll get it back up over the 100s. That fastball, and that changeup of his just makes it fun to watch him go at it when he’s not having an off day or playing Guitar Hero or something.
Nelson Barrera. He was electrocuted while repairing his roof in 2002. Playing in the mexican baseball league for a number of years, he was then elected to the mexican hall of fame. Which might consist a beach hut run by a couple of sleepy janitors.
On a serious note: i don’t think any players can be considered exciting. You swing the bat and try to hit the ball, there’s no moves that are done to get everyone excited. If you hit the ball, YAY. maybe outfield catches, and in that case, ryan freel.
Carl Crawford is the most electrifying player in baseball because he’s a five tool player. When he gets on base he’s more than likely to steal a base or two. He also has the ability to hit the long ball if given the right pitch. Also Jose Reyes is an honorable mention in this category.
